As a general rule you would usually have a cake drum two sizes larger than your cake, i.e, an 8" cake would be placed on a 10" cake drum.
However, if you have a lot of decorations around the side of your cake, or you are placing some decoration on the cake drum you may need a drum three or even four sizes larger.
Very strong cake board that is designed to display and support any cake of any weight.
