Marzipan a.k.a Almond Paste is made from ground almonds and sugar. Popular mainly around Christmas, but also an essential for covering fruit cakes prior to icing with either sugar paste fondant icing or royal icing. Rollable and easy to use with a delicious almond flavour you can also use this paste for modelling or making those wonderful traditional Marzipan fruits.
