This 3" long 1.5cm diameter cake spike, or pic as they are more commonly known, is the ideal way to add flowers, and other decorations to your cake.
Never put wires or non-edible decorations directly into the cake.
As well as being able to move and drop deeper into your cake, affecting your design, this is also a major health and safety issue.
These wires are not 'food safe' and can break inside your cake, so make sure you always use a flower pick.
As for wired flowers, the floral tape that is often used to wrap the floral wires is not 'food safe' either, so should not come into direct contact with cakes.
