Cake Drum Boards

Cake drum boards or just cake drums are ½” or 12mm thick. They are constructed of compressed paper, cut to size and then covered with a hygienic foil layer which your cake stands on.

These cake boards are remarkably strong and ideal for fruit cake or sponge and perfect for tiered Wedding Cakes.

When choosing your cake board we recommend you get a board 2-3" bigger than your cake. It is however not uncommon to choose an even larger board and use the extra space for adding more decorations, wording and details.

Cake boards can be easily covered in sugarpaste to create a range of different colours and textures, for example; water, wood grain, sand, grass and much more. The thicker depth of cake boards also means you can add a ribbon to the drum for even more decoration, a 15mm ribbon is ideal for using with cake boards.
