This is not rolled fondant or sugarpaste and it is not suitable for rolling out and covering a cake with.White fondant is suitable for melting in a double jacketed pan to a consistency ideal for dipping buns, fancies, cupcakes or enrobing larger cakes.
You can adjust the consistency with stock syrup (boiled water and sugar) or you can add small quantities of water if only a slight adjustment in consistency is needed.
You can also flavour with lemon juice or other flavouring if you wish and you can colour with liquid food colourings.
