Which gauge wire should I use?

The gauge of a wire is a measure of its thickness, the lower the number the thicker the wire.

18g wires are very thick and strong, they should be used for very large, heavy flowers or leaves.

20g & 22g wires are perfect for large flowers or leaves.

24g & 26g are the most common wires; they're good for medium sized flowers, most leaves and are normally a safe bet if you're not sure.

28g & 30g are good for small, light flowers and leaves.

32g wires are the thinnest wires; they should be used for very small flowers, making tendrils or for wiring individual petals.
